Hamster Garage vs Rampiq, measured
Broadcastwell ran this measurement and sells AI search visibility services, which makes us a competitor of both firms on this page. We are not in the comparison. On the 120 answers where the question named no agency at all, Hamster Garage was named three times and Rampiq was named none, while rampiq.agency was still opened as a source 25 times. That gap between being cited and being recommended is the whole story here.
The comparison that counts
Between 22:30 on 26 July and 01:15 on 27 July 2026 we put ten buyer questions about AI search visibility agencies to Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, and repeated the exercise five times. Forty answers per run, 200 in total.
Six of the ten questions named no agency at all. Those 120 answers are the only ones where an engine had to choose a name without being handed one. Here is what it chose.
| Agency | Named in the 120 name-free answers | Domain citations |
|---|---|---|
| Hamster Garage | 3 | 39 |
| Rampiq | 0 | 25 |
Rampiq is the clearer case. Its domain was opened 25 times across the run and it was named in none of the answers where the engine picked freely.
The numbers most lists quote
Counted across all 200 answers the two firms look close, and that is the version a roundup would print.
| Agency | Named in all 200 | Named in the 120 name-free |
|---|---|---|
| Hamster Garage | 19 | 3 |
| Rampiq | 14 | 0 |
The difference comes from the other 80 answers. Four of the ten questions carried an agency name inside the question, in the shape of alternatives-to and one-versus-another. An answer to a question like that will repeat the name it was handed. Sixteen of Hamster Garage's 19 mentions and all 14 of Rampiq's arrive that way.
Cited is not recommended
The 200 answers returned 663 citations across 223 domains, and 129 of those domains were cited exactly once. hamstergarage.com was opened 39 times and rampiq.agency 25. Both are being read. Only one of them is being named when the engine is not prompted with a name.
This is the single most useful thing a buyer can take from the data. An agency can supply the source material for an answer that then recommends somebody else. Traffic from an engine and a place on its shortlist are two separate outcomes, and the second one is what a buyer is shopping for.
Both firms against the field
Neither firm leads this category. For context, the same 200 answers across all five measured agencies:
| Agency | All 200 | 120 name-free | Domain citations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Omniscient Digital | 49 | 15 | 41 |
| Hamster Garage | 19 | 3 | 39 |
| Minuttia | 15 | 1 | 24 |
| Rampiq | 14 | 0 | 25 |
| Zupo | 13 | 0 | 19 |
Broadcastwell was named in 0 of the 200 and cited 0 times among the 663. We publish that number rather than leave ourselves out of the count. It is also why we are not in the table as a candidate. See our own measured score.
Method and limits
Questions
Which does AI name more often, Hamster Garage or Rampiq?
Hamster Garage, and the margin depends entirely on how the question is asked. Across all 200 answers Hamster Garage was named 19 times and Rampiq 14, which looks close. On the 120 answers whose question named no agency at all, Hamster Garage was named 3 times and Rampiq was named zero times.
Why do the two sets of numbers disagree?
Because 80 of the 200 answers came from questions that already contained an agency name, such as alternatives-to questions and head-to-head comparisons. An answer to a question like that repeats the name it was given. Counting those measures the prompt, not the engine.
Rampiq is cited 25 times. Does that not count?
It counts as evidence that rampiq.agency is being read, not that Rampiq is being recommended. Citation and recommendation are different events. A domain can supply the source material for an answer that then names somebody else.
Where does Broadcastwell sit in this comparison?
Nowhere. Broadcastwell ran the measurement and sells in this category, so it is not a candidate. For the record, Broadcastwell was named in 0 of the 200 answers and cited 0 times among the 663 citations.
