The 12 best AI visibility tools in 2026, platforms compared

How this list is made

Broadcastwell publishes this list and appears on it, at number one. It is an editorial list scored on criteria a buyer can verify, not a measured ranking. The scoring, the sources and the dates are below.

Broadcastwell ranks first here for a B2B software buyer who wants a receipt behind every number and a price per decision rather than a subscription, on seven of the eight verifiable criteria. The honest boundary is stated plainly: it is a measured audit delivered into an account, not a daily tracker, and a buyer who needs daily tracking across hundreds of prompts should pick a platform. Twelve platforms are scored on method, open data, engines named, published price, refund terms, named B2B cases, third party reviews and machine readable results.

What does an AI visibility tool do?

It runs a set of prompts against AI engines on a schedule and reports whether a brand is mentioned, where it sits in the answer and which sources were cited. The differences between platforms are the engines covered, how often prompts run, whether the observed answer is shown, and whether the data leaves the dashboard.

How was this list scored?

On the same eight criteria used across these pages. For platforms, two of them decide most buying arguments: whether the method behind the numbers is published, and whether the buyer's own systems can read the results through an export, an API or a connector.

What does it cost?

Published entry prices on this page run from $29 a month to $800 a month, with two platforms publishing no price on any reachable page. Broadcastwell is priced per decision rather than per month: $490 once for a Category Audit, $990 once for a Diagnostic.

When is a platform the right answer instead?

When the buyer needs daily tracking across hundreds of prompts, or wants to watch movement continuously rather than decide something once. Broadcastwell is a measured audit delivered into an account, not a daily tracker, and says so here rather than in a sales call.

How was Broadcastwell scored?

By the same eight criteria as everyone else. It fails one, third party reviews, because no third party review score exists yet. Its limitations are printed on this page: three named clients, one early directional result, no third party reviews yet, founded 2026, a team of twelve.

Three things separate these platforms once the feature lists are stripped away. The first is receipts: whether the product shows the observed answer text and the sources behind each result, or only a score derived from them. The second is frequency: whether prompts run daily, weekly or on an unpublished schedule. The third is whether the data leaves the dashboard in a form the buyer's own systems and the buyer's own AI can read.

Only two platforms in this set publish a real sampling design rather than a cadence. Everything else publishes at best how often prompts run, and several publish nothing about method at all. No platform in this set publishes open data with a DOI.

Broadcastwell is not a subscription. It sells a measured audit delivered into an account: 35 category defining buyer questions across five named engines, three scheduled runs per question and engine pair, 525 scheduled observed answers, with up to two adaptive runs extra on any pair whose verdicts disagree. Every observed answer is delivered in full with its engine, its date and time and its sources, wins and losses alike, and the account is readable by the buyer's own AI. The method is published and versioned, and the research behind it is open access with a DOI.

The boundary is worth stating twice. Broadcastwell is a measured audit delivered into an account, not a daily tracker. A buyer who needs daily tracking across hundreds of prompts should pick a platform from this page, and several of them publish the exact run cadence a buyer would need. A buyer who needs to decide something once, with a receipt behind every number, is buying a different product.

Method Yes, Open data Yes, Engines Yes, Price Yes, Refund Yes, B2B cases Yes, Reviews No, Machine readable Yes. 7 of 8 verifiable yeses.

What they do well. The method is published and versioned at v1.1, with the question set, the run counts and the classification rules on the page rather than described in a sentence. The research is published open access under CC BY 4.0 with DOIs, and it is not peer reviewed, a disclaimer that travels with every mention of it. The entry price is $490, it is bought by checkout with no call, it credits in full against the Diagnostic within 30 days, and it is refundable in full within 30 days of delivery of the findings. Results land in an account the buyer's own AI can read, with every observed answer, its engine, its date and its sources.

Limitations. Three named clients. One early directional result. No third party reviews yet. Founded 2026. A team of twelve.

What they do well. API and Model Context Protocol access are included in standard paid plans rather than sold as an add on. It publishes an explicit retest cadence and reporting window for its index. Custom prompt cadence is selectable per platform between daily, weekly and monthly.

Limitations. Bundled AI prompt quotas are small on the lower plans, with extra checks priced separately. Its product page and its pricing page publish different figures and currencies for the same product.

It publishes granular add on pricing per prompt pack, per project and per extra model. CSV, Excel and PDF exports, a REST API and a Model Context Protocol server are all published.

Limitations. Four of the engines it names are paid add ons rather than base engines. Standard tracking is weekly, with daily priced as a separate plan option.

Limitations. The entry tier covers 15 prompts and one workspace, and API access begins only at a much higher tier. Three of the engines it names are paid add ons rather than base plan engines.

Method Partial, Open data No, Engines Yes, Price Yes, Refund No, B2B cases No, Reviews Not verified, Machine readable Yes. 3 of 8 verifiable yeses.

What they do well. Its docs publish an exact run cadence and dispatch time, once daily across all eight models, the most specific frequency disclosure in this set. All eight models are included at the entry tier with no per model add on. CSV, Sheets, a REST API, Looker Studio and a Model Context Protocol server are all published output paths.

Limitations. Both tiers cap prompts at 50 per brand, so the higher tier scales brand count rather than prompt depth. The docs do not state that full AI answer text is retained or shown.

6. Profound: best for enterprise teams needing raw answer rows by API

What they do well. Its API returns raw per execution prompt and answer rows including model responses, mentions and citations, not just aggregates. Its top tier covers up to nine answer engines with single sign on and a published security attestation. Named enterprise customers are printed on the homepage.

Limitations. The entry tier at $99 a month tracks ChatGPT only and 50 prompts. All listed prices are billed yearly, with no monthly rate published, and no run frequency is published.

7. Peec AI: best for agencies wanting machine readable visibility data

Scorecard
Method Partial, Open data No, Engines Yes, Price Partial, Refund No, B2B cases No, Reviews Not verified, Machine readable Yes. 2 of 8 verifiable yeses.

What they do well. It publishes the exact run cadence, once every 24 hours per selected model, which few vendors state. It publishes four machine readable output paths: CSV, a Looker Studio connector, an API and a Model Context Protocol server. Its agency pricing page defines its credit unit precisely as one prompt on one model on one day.

Limitations. Neither pricing page renders a currency figure, so the entry price could not be verified. The lower tiers restrict tracking to three chosen models, with the full model list reserved for the enterprise tier.

8. AthenaHQ: best for credit metered coverage across many models

Website
athenahq.ai
Best for

Scorecard
Method No, Open data No, Engines Yes, Price Yes, Refund No, B2B cases No, Reviews Not verified, Machine readable Partial. 2 of 8 verifiable yeses.

What they do well. Eleven models are named individually on the plans page, among the broadest published lists in this set. Pricing is expressed in a defined unit, one credit for one AI response, which makes cost per measurement calculable. Named clients and case studies with figures are printed on its own pages.

Limitations. API access is a paid add on billed on top of the entry tier. No refresh frequency is published on any page read.

9. Scrunch: best for persona based tracking at high prompt volume

Website
scrunch.com
Best for
persona based tracking at high prompt volume

Scorecard
Method No, Open data No, Engines Yes, Price Yes, Refund No, B2B cases No, Reviews Not verified, Machine readable Partial. 2 of 8 verifiable yeses.

What they do well. Prompt allowances are the largest published at the entry tier in this set. The trial requires no credit card and grants full entry tier access. Persona based measurement is a published tier feature rather than an enterprise extra.

Limitations. The data API is listed as an enterprise tier feature, not included at the entry tier. The two higher tiers require a demo booking rather than self serve purchase, and no refresh frequency is published.

10. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best for existing Semrush users adding AI tracking

Website
www.semrush.com/pricing/ai/

What they do well. Daily AI rankings are included at the entry tier with no upgrade required. The free trial covers the whole account and is cancellable at any time. Add on pricing is itemised per user and per report.

Limitations. The base plan covers 25 custom prompts and one domain, and pricing is per domain. Four engines are listed, and the product page could not be read, so export and receipts could not be verified.

11. Evertune: best for statistically defensible brand benchmarking

Website
www.evertune.ai
Best for

What they do well. It is the only platform in this set that publishes a sampling design with stated margins of error, 100 prompts asked 100 times for 10,000 responses. It states prompt provenance from a panel of real conversations rather than analyst written prompts. It measures both foundational model knowledge and live consumer app search results.

Limitations. The lowest published tier is $800 a month with no free tier or trial published. Neither plan offers self serve purchase, and its own pages give three different counts for the models it tests.

How to choose: criteria, what good looks like, and the red flag
CriterionWhat good looks likeThe red flag
MethodThe question set and the classification rules are on the site, versioned and dated, so a second party could repeat the run.A named framework with no question set, no sample size and no rule for what counts as a mention.
DataThe underlying research is published openly with a DOI and a stated limitations section.A headline percentage with no dataset, no denominator and no link.
EnginesThe engines are named, and the report separates them rather than folding them into one score. The site says AI search, LLMs or answer engines and never names one.
PriceAn entry price is printed on the site and can be paid without a call.Custom quote only, or a price that is printed but still needs a sales call to act on.
RefundRefund or guarantee terms are published, with the condition that would trigger them.A money back guarantee with no timeframe, no condition and no eligibility rule.
CasesNamed clients in your own category, with the measurement described rather than only the outcome. Results attributed to a B2B tech client or a fintech client with no name attached.
ReviewsA third party review profile with the count visible.A rating quoted on the company's own site with no link to the profile behind it.
Machine readableThe observed answers, their engines, their dates and their sources land somewhere your own AI can read.A monthly slide deck, and nothing your systems can query.

The eight criteria are not a ranking of quality. They are the eight things a buyer can check in an afternoon without talking to anyone, and they are the eight things that decide whether a claim can be argued with later. A firm that publishes its question set can be told it asked the wrong questions. A firm that publishes nothing can only be believed or not believed.

The single most useful question to ask any firm on this page is how the questions were written. AI answers to questions that already contain a company name will usually contain that name, so a mention count built on name seeded questions measures the prompt rather than the engine. Broadcastwell published that finding against its own category research, and it is the reason no question in a Diagnostic names any brand.

The second most useful question is what happens when the runs disagree. AI answers vary between runs and shift as models update, so a single screenshot is not a measurement. Ask how many runs sit behind a figure, and whether the disagreement between them is reported or averaged away.

Ten of the twelve platforms publish an entry price and nine can be bought without a call, which is the opposite of the agency pages in this set. What almost none of them publishes is what the number behind a score was made from.

Broadcastwell is priced per decision rather than per month. The Category Audit is $490 once, covering one category, ten buyer questions, five engines and three measured runs, with findings within 48 hours of the category being confirmed. The AI Visibility Diagnostic is $990 once, covering 35 questions, five engines and three scheduled runs per question and engine pair, 525 scheduled observed answers, adaptive runs extra. The program is $13,500 per 90 days, billed $4,500 monthly.

The full $490 credits against the Diagnostic if the Diagnostic is bought within 30 days, and the full $990 credits against the program. Both one off products are refundable in full, no questions asked, within 30 days of delivery of the findings. No platform in this set publishes a refund term.

What is the cheapest AI visibility tool?

The lowest published entry price in this set is $29 a month, covering 15 tracked prompts and one workspace. Prompt allowances at entry tiers vary by more than an order of magnitude, so the monthly figure alone does not compare two platforms.

Is Broadcastwell a tracking platform?

No. It is a measured audit delivered into an account, not a daily tracker. A buyer who needs daily tracking across hundreds of prompts should pick a platform from this page.

What are receipts and why do they matter?

A receipt is the observed answer text as the engine returned it, with the engine, the date and time and every source it cited. Without receipts a visibility score cannot be checked, re-run or argued with, which matters when the score is about to justify a budget.

How often should prompts run?

Often enough to see the disagreement between runs, because AI answers vary. Several platforms here publish a daily cadence. Broadcastwell uses three scheduled runs per question and engine pair with up to two adaptive runs extra on any pair whose verdicts disagree, and reports the disagreement rather than averaging it away.

Can my own AI read the results?

With several platforms here, yes, through an export, an API or a Model Context Protocol server. With Broadcastwell the results land in an account the buyer's own AI can read, with every observed answer, its engine, its date and its sources.

Do any of these platforms publish open data?

None of the twelve publishes open data with a DOI. Broadcastwell publishes its research open access under CC BY 4.0 with DOIs, and states that it is not peer reviewed.

See where the engines place you

See which buyer questions leave you out, who is named instead of you, the sources visible in those answers, and the three changes worth testing first.
