On a software company's site, one click shows its Absence Index record: how many of up to 150 answers named it, how often its own site was cited, and the vendors named most in its category. Every figure carries its base and its Wilson 95% interval, exactly as the Index publishes it.

The extension carries the Absence Index, release 2026-09: 14 categories and 286 vendors, released 23 September 2026. Ten buyer questions per category went to five engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode), three scheduled runs each, with answers captured 22 to 23 September 2026 under method v1.1. The data is published under CC BY 4.0 with attribution to Broadcastwell, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22907695. Each new Index release ships as a new version of the extension.

This policy covers the AI Shortlist Check extension for Chrome, published by Broadcastwell LLC.
What the extension accesses. The address of the tab you are viewing, and only at the moment you click the extension's icon. It uses Chrome's activeTab permission and asks for no other permission. It cannot read the content of any page.
What it does with it. It takes the website name from that address and compares it, on your device, with the list of vendors and data that ships inside the extension.
What it stores. Nothing. The extension keeps no history, no settings and no identifiers, and sets no cookies.
What it sends. Nothing. The extension makes no network requests, runs no analytics and loads no remote code. When you choose to open a link in the extension, your browser opens that page in a new tab like any other link. Links to broadcastwell.com and index.broadcastwell.com carry a label (utm_source=chrome_extension) so Broadcastwell can see that a visit came from the extension; the label holds no personal data. The checkout link carries no label. Pages you open are covered by the Broadcastwell privacy notice.
Third parties. None. The extension shares no data with anyone, because it collects none. It does not sell or transfer user data, use it for any purpose unrelated to its single purpose, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and a new version of the extension will be published.
